You're great! "You can do it" motivation

Not a big help. Sorry I bought it but for someone else it could be majic. She does tell you how she did it but she doesn't tell you how you can do it. It's all RAH RAH, You're great! "You can do it" motivation. I don't need motivation. I need facts. It's funny, on the carpet in Shark Tank the sharks say"I don't care how motivated you are"! "I want to know what your business plan is"! "No plan? Get out"!!! This book, no plan. I admire Lori. Writting a "how to do it book" is not her strong suit. A lot of it is the story of her life. I need neither a non fiction book nor a novel. This reminds me of the Donald Trump book: "The art of the deal" or what ever. That wasn't even motivational. I'll just keep watching Shark Tank.

I gleaned some good info, but like most books like this one...

I gleaned some good info, but like most books like this, much of it is stating the obvious...
As a Shark Tank viewer, I can say Lori (and most of them) apply double standards, and speak out of both sides of their mouths.
Moreover, Lori's own patents she talks about are virtually all what are called "junk patents" (I am a patented inventor).
These are patents that are technically patent-able, but were also never patented because nobody wants them; nor would anyone bother to try to steal them, or breech them.
The patents then, create a niche market. Brilliant! The same can be done publishing books - "Author of 100 Books" - sounds impressive? huh... These are the types of 'secrets' they never tell you about in the 'get rich' books. If they did, they couldn't regurgitate the same info remixed for decades of new books.
Though they could be patented, it was not at all necessary. (Meaning with a little money and imagination, you can get patents too...) This is a marketing ploy to make people look like brilliant innovators by accruing patent after patent on things they really didn't need patents on. With this perspective and a view of this book as marketing strategy there is some valuable information to be had.

Found the author a bit overindulgent about herself and did not keep to the intended purpose of the book which was to educate and assist the reader in bringing an invention to market successfully.
